About
NICE TO MEET YOU
CARSON LABRECQUE
My fitness journey began early, around the ages of 12 to 14, fueled by my passion for football. As one of the bigger, slower kids on the field, I grew frustrated with always being at the back of the pack. Determined to change, I asked my parents for weight lifting equipment for my birthday. That winter, I immersed myself in training, learning from older players and gathering knowledge online. The following season, I saw remarkable improvements in my game. I realized that through hard work and dedication, I could outwork my peers and gain a competitive edge.
Over the years, my training evolved, and I became obsessed with perfecting my craft. By the time I started playing University football at 18, I was stronger than many senior players. My dedication paid off when I played for the University of Calgary, eventually joining the staff as an Assistant Strength Coach. In this role, I applied the techniques I had mastered over the years, helping lead the team to a National Championship win in 2019.
After two years on staff, I transitioned to taking on online and in-person clients, driven by my passion for helping others transform their lives through fitness. This journey led me to Vancouver, where I founded Built Training. Through this company, I aim to make a significant impact on the world by imparting the wisdom and experience I've gained.Ā

Along the journey, Ive learned conventional bodybuilding approaches did more harm than good fo rmy life.. Let me explain. I used to train for hours per workout, multiple times per day. And while i did put on some size at the start,Ā I eventually hit a wall. You can't just keep spending more time under the weights..Ā Instead of accumulating muscle, I accumulated injuries, 4 knee surgeries before 20.. and now Im injury free, and growing better than ever.. because of focussing that relentless intensity within proper training structure..ā
I used to think the MORE STEROIDS I took, the BETTER i would look on stage, like the rest of the gym bros, so during the course of one of my earlier bodybuilding shows, when I wasn't looking the way I wanted, the steroids were increased. Did I look better? No. I ended up running my body into the ground, not sleeping for months, and ruining many relationships. Not to mention the show ended up being a disaster that took months to recover from.. Now I track my blood work meticulously, use educated decisions behind my PED selection, and run less than ever⦠guess what? I LOOK BETTER AND AM HEALTHIER!

I used to sacrifice everything for bodybuilding. Even when my first son was born, I decided to compete that year, I missed out on a lot of his firsts, put a massive burden on their mom to solely take care of him the last few months of my contest prep, and it eventually was a part of what lead to a separation down the road.. Trust me, it's not worth losing family time to compete⦠I had to learn how to bodybuild without it consuming all of my time and energy. Now I have found how to have a flourishing relationship, be an amazing Father to my two boys Robbie and Joe, and am actually enjoying the process of bodybuilding with BETTER RESULTS THAN EVER.Ā
If you want to fufill that dream in your heart, and hit the stage for the first time, or even redeem your last showing, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!

"I can honestly say I've never achieved results as dramatic as I have with since working with Carson."
